At the Emerald Aero Group Ireland, we are continuing to expand our capabilities across specialist manufacturing companies. This year we welcomed new Lisk Ireland and Mohawk Special Cutting Tools to the cluster.
The addition of both companies represents a natural fit with the Group’s collaborative model, each bringing a highly specialised area of engineering and manufacturing expertise, adding further depth to the capabilities available across the EAG and strengthening our ability to support customers across the sector.
Lisk Ireland: precision motion control
Founded in 1980, Lisk Ireland is the European design and manufacturing hub for the New York-based G.W. Lisk Company.
The company delivers precision-engineered solenoids, valves and motion-control components to global markets, with proven expertise across the Aerospace and On/Off-Highway sectors. Its focus on quality, reliability and performance makes its products particularly relevant to critical applications where precision and consistency are essential.
Lisk’s precision engineering, manufacturing excellence and global reach are important additions to the cluster capability. Their expertise in motion-control technologies complements the engineering and manufacturing capabilities already present within EAG, creating further opportunities for collaboration and integrated solutions for customers.
Mohawk: specialist tooling expertise
Mohawk Special Cutting Tools brings a different but equally complementary capability to the Group.
Mohawk is a high-precision manufacturing specialist serving leading aerospace and automotive OEMs worldwide. Its expertise includes drills, reamers and custom tooling solutions, with decades of experience in the development and manufacture of non-standard cutting tools.
Mohawk are one of the world’s leading suppliers of non-standard-sized cutting tools and highlights its role in strengthening the cluster’s ability to deliver end-to-end manufacturing excellence; from tooling to finished components.
This is particularly significant within for the clusters collaborative manufacturing network. By bringing specialist tooling capability into the EAG, Mohawk adds another important link in the manufacturing process and creates opportunities for members to combine their individual strengths when responding to complex customer requirements.
Strengthening the collective
Our core principle sits behind the addition of these two new members; bringing complementary capabilities together to create something greater than any individual company can deliver alone.
The EAG model is built around collaboration, shared expertise and the ability to provide customers with access to a broad range of manufacturing capabilities through a single network. This is called the “Meitheal” approach which is the idea of combining skills, resources and knowledge to achieve a common goal.
With Lisk adding specialist motion-control and component expertise, and Mohawk strengthening the Group’s precision tooling capabilities, both companies broaden the
