Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Clusters Coordinator to join our Cluster. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating various companies and activities within the cluster, facilitating collaboration among stakeholders, ( MD’s , Partners, Enterprise Ireland in Ireland and Overseas, Government agencies and department) and ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The Clusters Coordinator will play a pivotal role in driving communication and cooperation across member companies and partners, while aligning Smart Regions goals with overall Member company and cluster objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Cluster Coordination:

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among different clusters (teams) within Emerald Aero.
  • Organize regular cluster meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of cluster-specific strategies and initiatives.

Project Management:

  • Support project managers in planning, executing, and monitoring projects within clusters.
  • Ensure that all projects align with company goals and adhere to timelines and budgets.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, providing updates to stakeholders as needed.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between clusters and upper management.
  • Gather feedback from team members and stakeholders to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Promote a culture oAct as the primary point of contact between clusters and upper management.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on cluster performance, project status, and resource allocation.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders

 Administrative Support:

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to cluster operations, including scheduling meetings, managing documentation, and maintaining minutes and records.
  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Ireland policies and procedures within all clusters.

Recruitment of new members

  • Growing the cluster membership

Recruit international pathfinders from overseas

  • Carry out market discovery in overseas markets.

Marketing and public relations

  • LinkedIn content creation and updating
  • Website content creation and updating
  • Seeking and taking advantage of PR opportunities
  • Updating of collaborative sales presentations
  • Updating of collaborative marketing materials
  • Liasing with web developer
  • Implementation of the Enterprise Ireland Strategic marketing review and plan
  • Attendance at EACP events and ensure that all EACP sub groups are represented by Emerald Aero Members.

Continue to position Emerald Aero for Super Cluster funding as part of the National Cluster Policy
and secure future funding

  • Attend Department briefing session
  • Attend Enterprise Ireland briefing sessions
  • Ensure structure are in place within the Cluster to position the group for Super Cluster funding
  • Ensure Emerald Aero fit with Super Cluster Criteria under the New National Cluster Policy
  • Writing of Enterprise Ireland applications for funding
  • Ensure Enterprise Ireland KPI’s are achieved
  • Reporting for grant drawdowns and Enterprise Ireland interim reviews

 

KEY TASKS AND METRICS

BRAND AWARENESS FOR IRELAND AS A MANUFACTURING PARTNER IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN OF
AEROSPACE AND SPACE.
Building the cluster value proposition, brand and identity – finding ways to work together and collaborate in meaningful ways, regulatory training, benchmarking, capital investment pooling. The principle of including a “business excellence “learning event with each meeting will continue.

PEER LEARNING AND NETWORKING EVENTS
-Peer learning and support. Organisation of Biweekly Teams meeting have continued, Preparation of agenda and circulation of Team Links.
-Coordination of 4 to 6 onsite MD meetings annually to include at least one social event for all members companies.
-Preparation of agenda, guest speakers, drafting of Minutes and ensuring full cohort of MD’s are present.
-Training for members – actively engage in relevant training for members and seek opportunities for additional training

ATTENDANCE AT INTERNATIONAL TRADE SHOWS
-Jointly exhibit at none less than 2 international trade shows per year.
-Seek opportunities for international Trade Mission in collaboration with EACP, Enterprise Ireland, Other relevant clusters and member companies.
-Meaningful engagement with Domestic and International Clusters. Closely collaborate with relevant industry partners and universities domestically and abroad. Shannon Group, Future Mobility Campus and IMR.
-Recruitment of new member companies in line with Smart Regions Fund KPI and financial match funding.

FOSTER A CULTURE OF INNOVATION FOR THE CLUSTER
Foster a continued culture of innovation among members – develop a programme for the adoption of AI with members companies using the budget allocated. Leverage support and additional funding with FMCI; IMR where possible.

DEVELOPMENT OF A SUSTAINABILITY CHARTER
Develop a programme for the adoption of sustainability with members companies using the budget allocated. Identify external experts and suppliers, leverage support and additional funding with IMR and other partners where possible.

 

Key performance metrics for Emerald Aero group

1. To attract a Tier 1 Aerospace Manufacturing company to Shannon/ Midwest (Airbus)
2. To build a sub supply chain in the Midwest region for Aerospace Manufacturing
3. To create a sustainability charter for the Emerald Aero group which can be replicated across the
Aerospace sub Supply Chain in Ireland
4. It is intended to recruit 6 new market discovery pathfinders in 2025 to 2027
5. Attend The aircraft interiors show in June 2025
6. Attend the Aeromart Toulouse show in December 2026
7. Market Discovery and Business Excellence visit in March 2025
8. Attend The aircraft interiors show in June 2028
9. Attend the Paris Airshow in 2025 as a group
10. Attend The aircraft interiors show in June 2027
11. Attend the Aeromart Toulouse show in December 2026
12. To grow female participation in Emerald Aero Group by a further 10% 2025 to 2027
13. To increase export business in Aerospace by 100% between 2025 and 2027
14. To grow membership to 20 members
15. To onboard at least 2 new aerospace companies
16. To continue to drive the Emerald Aero brand globally , by connecting with Enterprise Ireland, European
Aerospace Cluster Partnership, IMR, Shannon Group, FMCI and the IDA.
17. To develop a centre of excellence in the region in collaboration with Third level Institutes for Aerospace
training and manufacturing
18. Secure EUCLES Bronze standard of Clustering with European Cluster Analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in the aerospace or aviation industry.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Asana).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
